CSSHL student-athletes Peter Banicevic and Markus Knaub have signed WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements with the Penticton Vees.
Accumulating 150-points across four seasons in the CSSHL, Banicevic has been a notable forward on the ice from his time from U15 to U18 Prep. The Burnaby, BC native played two seasons of U15 Prep between the North Shore Warriors and Delta Hockey Academy, racking up a career high 68-points in his draft eligible season with Delta where he would also help them clinch a U15 Prep title in 2025. At the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, Banicevic would be selected 47th overall by the Penticton Vees in their inaugural season. Banicevic would post two points through four preseason games before signing with the Vees.
After going undrafted at the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, Knaub took over in U17 Prep the following season. Through 24 games Knaub would acquire 47 points (19G, 28A) in U17 Prep action while adding another 6 points through a pair of games with the U18 Prep team. Knaub would continue to impress at the 2026 CSSHL Western Championships, potting another 3 goals and 9 points on RHA Winnipeg’s route to the semi-finals where they would come just shy to eventual runner-ups Calgary IHA. Knaub suited up for four preseason games with Penticton, posting a single assist before being signed.
