Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U18 Prep
A jam-packed U18 Prep schedule opened with two sides who would be viewing the other as their chance to pick up rare wins, with the Wild specifically coming in having won just once this season prior. The Wild and Hounds traded first-period goals to take a 1-1 tie into the second period’s latter stages, before a late goal in the middle frame from Wenatchee’s Sean Strasser (1G, 1A) gave the Wild a lead heading into the third. Both sides had their chances, but it was Wenatchee to prevail, thanks in part to goaltender Mason Lynnes (30/31) stopping all 10 shots he faced in the third. Anderson Carter picked up two, adding to Benjamin Mikan’s powerplay goal in the third to lead Wenatchee to win number two of their U18 Prep season.
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Many have tried but few have managed to best Delta Hockey Academy in the U17 Prep division so far this season. Their latest challengers, Prairie Hockey Academy, face Yale and BWC on Saturday and Sunday, meaning this first hurdle against Delta was going to be their toughest task left on their February schedule. There wasn’t much separating these two teams on Friday, with a pair of Owen Grassick (3G) goals in the first period leading PHA into the second with a lead. As Delta often does, they were able to respond in the second period, scoring two of their own to take the lead into the third, before once more, Grassick struck. The Prairie forwarded completed his hat-trick just five minutes into the third period to square things at three, with three quarters of the third still available for a winner to be found. Ultimately, it came down to an unlikely DHA hero to make the difference, with forward Yianni Sergiannidis popping in with just his second goal of the season to snatch Delta a late go-ahead goal. After Gassick’s goal in the third, DHA’s Jack Utsunomiya (35/38) stopped the rest of Prairie’s 12 shots in the last twenty to lead his team to the win.
Notre Dame Hounds (2) vs North Shore Warriors (6) U15 Prep
The North Shore Warriors’ U15 Prep contingent came into Friday’s clash with the Notre Dame Hounds off four negative results to kick off February, including a 13-3 loss to the ever-potent Yale Lions in their most recent game. Facing down a 1-0 deficit through twenty minutes of play against the Hounds on Friday, the team talk in between the first and second periods for North Shore was seemingly game-changing. The Warriors took the game to Notre Dame in the final two periods, outshooting the Hounds 45-23 over the final forty minutes and turning that domination into managing to outscore their opponents 6-1 over that stretch. Nicholas Sheldon (2G) scored to tie the game in the second period and break the tie in the third for the Warriors en route to an eventual 6-2 win.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (3) U17 Prep
Heading towards Friday’s game between the Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy and Notre Dame Hounds in the U17 Prep, CDA’s Gavin Payne was on an absolute heater. After having gone seven games without a point earlier in the season, Payne has caused massive headaches for virtually all of his opponents since the calendar turned over to 2026. In his seven most recent games prior to Friday, Payne had mustered a point in all but one, scoring five goals and nine points in the process. Friday, though, was the best performance we’ve seen Payne have this season. He scored the only goal of the first period to give Coeur d’Alene the lead before he’d get their party started in the second. Payne scored shorthanded and provided a primary assists mere minutes apart to help CDA open up a 3-0 lead, but following, Notre Dame came storming back. A late goal in the second started a comeback that saw the Hounds score three straight to square the game up at three heading towards the final minutes of the game. An ill-timed too many men penalty take by the Hounds thrust CDA onto a late powerplay, one which produced for them a breakthrough, with Payne and Camden Masterson (2A) providing assists for Brayden Lee’s go-ahead goal. Up one late, Payne managed to complete his three-goal and five-point performance by putting the game to bed with an empty-net goal to seal his team’s win.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) Female U18 Prep
It’s been a near-impossible task to best RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna in the Female U18 Prep division so far this season, with only Delta Green managing to best RHAK since November heading towards Friday. If anyone else would, SAHA’s chances on Friday looked the best, with the Medicine Hat-based group having won eight straight games. SAHA sprinted into a two-goal lead early through goals from Teylor Crocker and Riley Bourque. With the multi-goal cushion established, SAHA largely soaked up the RHA Kelowna chances, with only an Alida Korte shorthanded goal getting behind Mika Yokota (47/48) who was otherwise perfect. Interestingly enough, Yokota’s contributions would also contain an assist, as her save started the play that eventually earned SAHA their third goal of the night, scored by Emily Gerdevich. Hallie Parada (1G, 1A) added her second point of the night with a goal in the third to seal the deal in SAHA’s upset victory over the second-ranked RHA Kelowna.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (4/OT) U18 Prep
Because of the significant travel required for Pacific Coast Hockey Academy and Prairie Hockey Academy to meet one another in the CSSHL, their two U18 Prep squads play only once this season, Friday at Edge School in Calgary. The game unfolded like some sort of see-saw with each period unfolding in a similar manner. PCHA scored first, with Prairie tying the game through the first period. Prairie took the lead in the second, only for PCHA to be the team to tie the game this time around. Prairie led 3-2 early in the third, and as the game marched towards its conclusion, it looked as if Tristan Hoko’s go-ahead goal might be enough for PHA to scrape over the finish line. That wasn’t the case, though, thanks to Sea Devils star Roman Lavery tying the game with 106 seconds to play. Unfortunately for PCHA, Lavery’s equalizer was as happy as the day would get for the boys from Vancouver Island. It took a mere 70 seconds of overtime for Prairie to settle the game with Brady Keith (1G, 1A) breaking through to seal the deal. Keith went without a point in his most recent game last Sunday, but prior to that, Keith had amassed a 12-game point streak. He picked the perfect time to get back on the scoreboard.
Mount Academy (8) vs King Heights Academy (0) East U18 Prep
Mount Academy went to work against a short King Heights bench, potting eight in a shutout victory. Cohen Paul (2G, 3A) led the charge with a five-point outing while defenseman Jacob Jardine (2G) doubled his goal total on the season with a pair of goals. Nokia, Finland native Eppu Makinen (27/27) recorded 27 saves for his first career CSSHL shutout.
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (2) vs North Shore Warriors (7) U18 Prep
Chase Heide (2G, 1A) was able to grant the Warriors the early lead, scoring the lone goal of the first only 30-seconds into play. Adam Clark (1G, 1A) would put OHO on the board early in the second off a powerplay opportunity. OHO would show some pushback after the game tying goal, but Sidney Belfoy (2G, 1A) would take matters into his own hands, scoring back-to-back goals for North Shore in under two minutes of play. Heide would bury another for the Warriors before the frame came to a close. OHO would pot another powerplay marker in the third thanks to Tristan Sarra-Bournet (1G, 1A), but once again the Warriors would answer back with another three unanswered goals. Kai Ebert (30/32) played perfect at even strength for the Warriors, making 30-saves in the win, only surrendering those two goals on the PK.
St. George’s School (4/SO) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U17 Prep
Adam Benn and Beck Charlton would put the Saints up by a pair early in the second, but OHA Edmonton would storm back under a minute later. Prince Albert Raiders prospect Chayse Fedoriuk (1G, 1A) would ignite a chain of three unanswered for OHA Edmonton, capped off with a powerplay marker off the stick of Kaysun Brunham (1G, 1A). In the third, St. George’s would make the most out of their powerplay opportunity as Nathaniel Moore potted home his seventh of the season. Enough to force extra time, this match would ultimately be decided in the shootout where Benn would strike in the final round, putting the Saints back in the win column.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
Two of the most dominant U15 Prep squads in the league hit the ice at the Summit Centre around the same time on Friday, with Delta Hockey Academy’s clash with RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg and Yale Hockey Academy’s game against the Calgary International Hockey Academy occurring simultaneously. Delta had rattled off twelve straight wins since they dropped their last two league contests of November 2025. The perfect couple months for Delta faced an incredibly difficult test in the form of RHA Winnipeg, who had managed to score 46 goals in just six games in 2026 thus far. In the Delta crease, Jace Zemanek (23/24) stemmed the tide of the red-hot RHAW attack, providing the foundation for Delta to build on. Colby Walker scored the only goal of the first period to open up a DHA lead, only to be built on in the second period through Johann Zhao scoring his second goal in three games. Max Sanders scored his first of the month for Winnipeg to get them back within one, but that’s as close as the game would get, with DHA winning by one.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (6) U15 Prep
Looking to follow the example of the other top dogs in the U15 Prep division, Yale Hockey Academy dominated the entirety, especially the early stages, of their game against the Calgary International Hockey Academy. YHA outshot CIHA 24-8 in the first period alone, with Teagen Dernisky (1G, 2A) scoring a goal and providing a primary assist to lead Yale into the second period ahead by two. Yale added two more on the powerplay to extend the lead further, and with the Lions having won sixteen straight games coming in, the lead they’d built was safe. Three in the third sealed Yale’s 6-1 win.
Bishop’s College School (3) vs Kuper Academy (7) East U17 Prep
Kuper Academy have been among the cream of the crop in the Eastern U17 Prep division, a trend that would continue into the beginning of this weekend in their opening game against a very capable Bishop’s College School squad. Bishop’s managed to tie the game at one in the first after going behind, but in the second, Kuper’s big guns fired them further in front of Bishop’s than BCS could recover from. Thomas Issa (2G, 1A), Alessio Servello (2G, 2A), and Angelo Colletti Jr. (1G, 4A) combined to factor in on five of Kuper’s seven goals in the game, with Servello’s first of two standing as the eventual game-winner.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad have faced down a difficult schedule to begin 2026, winning just one of eight heading into Friday’s clash with PMHA. Despite the run of negative results, PCHA’s performances have inspired the hope they’d be able to finish the season on a high note. Their only previous victory of 2026 was by virtue of a 1-0 shutout, and it would be a similarly defensively strong performance on Friday to propel them over PMHA. Owen Hyde (2G, 1A) scored two in the first and Sea Devils goaltender Eliott Horner (21/22) stood tall to help protect PCHA’s early established lead. Cameron Young-Thompson (1G, 1A) scored on the powerplay in the third to help PCHA extend the lead further and the Sea Devils won their first game of the month.
North Shore Warriors (2) vs Balmoral Hall School (3) Female U18 Prep
Save for a loss at the hands of RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, Balmoral Hall School’s Female U18 Prep contingent has done nothing but dominate in 2026 so far, outscoring Pilot Mound 23-4 in two wins. North Shore made things significantly more difficult for Balmoral than BHS had it last weekend, but despite the challenge the Warriors posed, Balmoral fought through. Mya Rosenbaum (1G, 1A) gave Balmoral a lead in the first, and after the Warriors scored a tying goal, Payton Henwood (3A) would provide two more primary assists on goals from Kate Chuback (1G, 1A) and Hudson Bradley to extend the Balmoral lead further than North Shore could recover from. Sasha Coutu (34/36) stopped 13 of 14 in the third for Balmoral to help them over the finish line 3-2.
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Edge School Female (4) U18 Prep
Shawnigan Lake School’s Female U18 Prep squad did everything in their power to get a result out of their clash on Friday with Edge School. They’d won three of their last four heading in and produced their chances, but at every turn, Edge School goaltender Alexis Ehrman (42/43) was there. Ehrman, a St. Cloud State University (NCAA) commit, shut the door on a pair of early Shawnigan Lake power plays as part of her 12 saves in the first period and building off her play, Edge School took the lead shorthanded through Chloe Vetter’s (1H, 1A) second goal of the season. After a goal from their PK, Sara Hettle (1G, 1A) produced her second goal of the season on an Edge School powerplay to extend the lead further in the second period, with the lead enough for Edge to hang on for the win. Ehrman starred with 42 saves in her victory.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) vs Edge School (4) U18 Prep
A dead even first twenty minutes of play between the Okanagan Hockey Academy and Edge School’s U18 Prep squads ended up being OHA simply biding their time before Edge finally broke through. Charlie Peppinck (18/22) did his best to keep OHA in the game, but in the second, Charlie Tobin broke through for Edge before Ashton McCann (1G, 2A) scored on the powerplay to double their lead before the end of the second. McCann earned two primary assists on two more goals in the third from Edge School to lead the Mountaineers to a win.
King’s Edgehill School (2) vs Rothesay Netherwood School (8) East U18 Prep
After being handed an 8-0 smackdown at the hands of Bourget College in their most recent CSSHL game, Rothesay Netherwood School experienced some varied results in showcases and challenges that followed. RNS’ pursuit of a win looked good after one, with Kilian Alves Pereira putting them up two, but King’s Edgehill fought back with two quick goals early in the second to tie the game. Grady Betts tying the game at two for KES simply proved a preamble to Rothesay springing away with the lead, and subsequently, the win. Gavin Smith scored two goals and Drew Moores (1G, 2A) pitched in with three points to lead Rothesay Netherwood to a massive 8-2 win.
STAR Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U17 Prep
STAR had won 15 consecutive games heading into Friday, but RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg had managed to win seven of their last eight games after an overtime loss to Edge School in their first game of 2026. Colton Ross scored first for RHA Winnipeg, and with the lead established, RHAW’s Brady Robert (34/35) took over. The RINK Winnipeg goaltender stood tall to stop every single shot he faced at five-on-five, and with his team ahead by two goals through forty minutes, Robert stood on his head in the third, making 13 saves on 13 shots to help RHAW over the line for a 3-1 win.
CIH Academy (0) vs Selwyn House School (5) East U17 Prep
An explosion of early offence from Selwyn House School put any and all hope CIH Academy had to bed in no uncertain terms, especially with Selwyn’s start to the second period. SHS led by two through twenty-minutes of play, but early in the second, a 22-second span put the game to bed. On the same penalty kill, Josh Chatzis (1G, 1A) scored eight seconds into the second period to make it 3-0, and 22 seconds later, Chatzis popped up again. This time, he provided the primary assist for Salikh Salakhutdinov (1G, 1A) to add another shorthanded, giving Selwyn a 4-0 lead just 30 seconds into the second. Francis Paradis made 22 saves on 22 shots for a shutout win in a game Selwyn eventually won 5-0.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U17 squad haven’t managed to string together back-to-back victories since winning three straight back at the end of November, but with that established, RHAK have managed to avoid losing three straight since the end of 2025. A loss at the hands of STAR Hockey Academy on February 8 meant RHAK was heading into their U17 clash with North Shore off a loss, a position RHAK often excels in. In search of a bounceback, RHAK dominated North Shore on Friday, establishing total control of the game by outshooting the Warriors 20-6 in the first period, and grabbing a goal from Oliver Peck (1G, 1A) to show for it through twenty minutes. RHAK followed up their dominant first twenty minutes with three more goals to open up a 4-0 lead before the third period was half over. North Shore grabbed one back at the end but Beau Keller-Blaschuk’s 29 saves on 30 shots was enough to earn RHAK the win.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U15 Prep
South Alberta Hockey Academy victory in the U15 Prep division was assured from the beginning of their Friday meeting with Shawnigan Lake School. “The beginning” always sounds like an exaggeration; you can’t have an assured outcome from the drop of the puck. SAHA taking control of proceedings happened pretty much as close to the beginning as it possibly could have. 14 seconds into the game, Cooper Danroth (1G, 1A) scored to give SAHA the early lead, and it wouldn’t take much longer for them to grab complete command. Kyan Vansandt (1G, 3A) scored less than five minutes after Danroth to propel SAHA two in front. They’d get two more in the second and two more in the third to secure a 6-1 win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) U15
Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U15 contingent won three of four games in the month of February as they approached Friday’s clash with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. OHA had bested RHA Kelowna in each of their three previous head-to-head meetings, and they sprinted into the lead, scoring four of the game’s first five goals. Jonah Gamble made 36 saves on 39 shots for OHA to close things out, aided by three points apiece from Kristian Bowen (1G, 2A) and Bates Wallgreen (1G, 2A). Vincent Biro’s shorthanded goal stood as the game-winner.
Edge School (7) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
Edge School broke a four-game skid with a dominant 7-2 win over Pacific Coast Hockey Academy Friday, jumping out early and never looking back as Adam Bibby (2G) opened the scoring at 6:46 and added an insurance marker in the third, while Brody Antignani (2G, 1A) and James Butterwick (2G) each finished with two goals to pace a balanced attack; Luke Bodtker (1G, 1A) and Cade Mazurski (1A) helped fuel the second period surge that turned a 2-2 game into a 5-2 lead, Edge outshooting PCHA 54-26 and converting sustained pressure into goals at 10:13, 11:05 and 12:37 of the second, with PCHA unable to cash in on five power-play chances as Cohen Spencer (24/26) stopped 24 of 26 to earn the victory.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (4/SO) vs Shawnigan Lake School (3) U17 Prep
Wenatchee stole the drama in a back-and-forth affair, edging Shawnigan 4-3 in a shootout after Keagan Nussbaum’s (2G) two goals bookended the night, an early opener at 19:36 and a thunderous power-play equalizer at 18:02 of the third, while Peyten Shilton (1G) gave Wenatchee a brief third-period lead with a Michigan style goal and Griffin Voth (2G) answered twice for Shawnigan to force extra time; the Wild survived a 47-29 shot disadvantage behind a heroic Mikai Mast (44/47) who kept them alive through OT, and Shane Roberts delivered the lone shootout finish to seal the win walking out of River Cree with the extra point and their first win of the season.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (7/SO) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) Female U18 Prep
RINK Winnipeg edged Delta 7-6 in a shootout Friday in a wild, end-to-end affair that had lead changes, momentum swings and two star playmakers refusing to blink, Rowyn Street (1G, 5A) orchestrated the visitors’ comeback with a clinic of zone vision while Attica Sobering (3G) finished with a hat trick that kept RHA Winnipeg alive, but Delta’s early spark came from Kiernan Ledoux (2G) and a late third-period surge from Georgia O’Neill (1G) and Rowyn Street forced overtime; the teams combined for 75 shots and traded punches all night as Mars McHenry (31/37) and Saysha Brace (32/38) each stop over 30 shots. RINK Winnipeg finally prevailed in the shootout, a fitting result after their 5-4 meeting in October.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (5/OT) Female U18 Prep
Okanagan and Pilot Mound served up a thriller that finally tilted in Pilot Mound’s favour 5-4 in overtime, a result that felt like a release valve for two clubs trudging through long losing stretches. Okanagan opened the scoring three times early Morgan Ghag’s (1G) quick strike, Ellis Aubie’s (1G) power-play finish and Piper Shaw’s (1G) late first-period tally only to see Pilot Mound rally back through Ryley Sanders (1G, 1A), Wytten Constant (1G, 1A) and a second-period equalizer from Lauren Nychyporuk (1G, 1A). Morgan Barenz’s (1G) third-period reply briefly restored hope for Okanagan before Jorja Atkinson (1G, 2A) and a RHA Kelowna push produced the tying markers that forced extra time, where Rory Perrin (1G) buried the winner 46 seconds in to cap a comeback that avenged earlier October and November meetings between these clubs.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Coeur d’Alene came out swinging but couldn’t withstand Calgary International’s third‑period avalanche, falling 6–4 in a game that flipped completely after a dream CDA start. Sal Costa (2G) scored twice in the opening four minutes and Ewen Willers (2G) added another at 5:36 as CDA, losers of six straight coming in, suddenly held a 3–0 lead and had CIHA on the ropes. But Calgary, a team that’s been rolling for weeks and had just taken points in eight of its last ten, slowly reeled the game back in: Chad Clark (1G, 1A) got them on the board late in the first, Walker Filewich (1G) cut the gap early in the second, and then the third period turned into a full‑on surge. CIHA scored four times in a seven‑minute span with Cruz Nicolay, Calum Giese (1G, 2A), Mason Moran (1G, 1A) and Aidan McIntosh (1G, 1A) all striking as CIHA’s depth overwhelmed CDA’s fading legs and penalty trouble. Willers’ second of the night at 16:49 gave CDA a late spark, but it wasn’t enough to derail a CIHA comeback that felt inevitable once momentum flipped. Ben Hakes (17/18) steadied Calgary in relief after a shaky start, while Bennett Byers (32/38) battled through a heavy 38‑shot workload.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (9) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U17 Prep
RINK Kelowna kept its mid‑February heater roaring with a 9–5 win over Northern Alberta, a game that looked less like a matchup between two top‑half teams and more like a track meet RHAK had been preparing for all month. Winners of four straight coming in and fresh off a 9‑2 win over Wenatchee, RHA Kelowna leaned into its identity early, scoring four times in an eight‑minute burst as Mason Poitras(1G), Kaius Millan (1G, 1A), Nixon Whieldon (1G, 1A), and Kaustav Pradeep (1G, 1A) all found the net before the first intermission. NAX, who had just snapped a small skid with a win over OHA Edmonton, kept punching back through Daniel Makovetskiy (1G), Donny Sewall (1G), and later Lincoln Stotz (1G, 1A) and Eli Piquette (1G, 2A), but every time they closed the gap RINK Kelowna answered with another wave Roman Haddad’s (1G) first of the season, Alexander Sharman’s (1G, 1A) eighth, and Mason Alexander (1G, 1A) late in the second stretched the lead to 7–4. By the time Cole Hamakawa (1G, 1A) and Zander Zorn (1G) added third‑period insurance, RHAK had piled up 55 shots, overwhelmed two NAX goaltenders, and showcased the depth that’s carried them to a 20-4-0-0 record. Matthew Palmer (27/32) held steady behind the chaos.
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3/OT) U18 Prep
Shawnigan looked poised to grind out a statement win, but RHA Winnipeg clawed back late and stole a 3–2 overtime victory a gut‑punch ending to a game Shawnigan Lak School had controlled for nearly 50 minutes. Riding the momentum of a 5–1 win over Yale in their last outing, SLS leaned on their top line early as Nigel Alberts (2G) buried goals in both the first and second, each set up by Phoenix Hinks (2A), to build a 2–0 cushion while outshooting Winnipeg 30–23 through two periods. But RHA Winnipeg, a team that’s been playing better than their record suggests and had pushed Prairie Hockey Academy to the brink last weekend, found their spark in the third: Atticus Cruz (1G, 1A) halved the deficit at 7:34, and Graham Gard (1G) tied it with under three minutes left as RINK Winnipeg’s forecheck finally cracked the SLS structure. Overtime lasted just 100 seconds before Athens Shingoose (1G, 1A) snapped home the winner, completing a comeback powered by Ryler Gates’ (43/45) 43‑save performance.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs STAR Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
RHA Kelowna shook off a quiet first period and overpowered STAR Hockey Academy 5–2, a result that fit the rhythm of two teams trending in opposite directions, RHA Kelowna trying to steady themselves after a rocky stretch, STAR searching for anything to halt a six‑game skid. Once the second period opened, RHA Kelowna found their stride in a hurry as Will Tidsbury (1G, 1A) broke the ice at 5:01, Nathan Johnson (1G) restored the lead minutes later, and Ajax Smith (1G) plus Dexter Labrecque (1G) piled on to turn a tight game into a 4–1 cushion by intermission. STAR hung around thanks to Zane Hamilton’s (1G) early equalizer and a third‑period strike from Jasper Schelter (1G), but Kelowna’s depth and puck movement kept the game tilted, with Aksel Smith (2A) and Jaxon Lodge (1A) driving play in the middle frame. Rayman Sall (1G) sealed it with a late empty‑netter on the power play, capping a night where RINL Kelowna controlled tempo, generated the cleaner looks, and leaned on a balanced attack to beat STAR for the second time this season after their December win.
OHA Edmonton (3) vs St. George’s School (5) U15 Prep
St. George’s outlasted OHA Edmonton 5–3 in a matchup that felt like two heavyweights trading combinations until the final round, a sharp contrast to the blowouts both teams had been dealing out in recent weeks. OHA came in riding a four‑game heater where they’d piled up 48 goals, and they looked every bit that team early as Artello Forestal (2G) scored twice, including a power‑play marker, with Deacon Gillespie (3A) orchestrating from the back end. But St. George’s, fresh off a tight win over STAR and playing some of their most structured hockey of the season, kept answering. Liam Hussey (2G) tied the game in the first and gave SGS their first lead in the second, Theo Wesik (1G, 2A) continued his play‑driving surge, and Jayden Ni (1G, 1A) delivered the third‑period dagger at 10:45 before Hudson Lesk (1G) sealed it late. OHA pushed hard outshooting their opponent 44–36 and generating long stretches of zone time, but Hudson Waddell’s (41/44) 41‑save performance held firm as St. George’s hand OHA Edmonton just their fourth loss of the season.
North Shore Warriors (5) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (3) U17 Prep
North Shore finally found the kind of second‑period surge they’ve been chasing all season, riding a five‑goal outburst to a 5–3 win over Indigenous Sports Academy. A rare bright spot for a North Shore as they had dropped seven straight and hadn’t scored more than three in over a month. After a scoreless first, the game cracked open in a hurry: Ollie Demarco (1G, 1A) jump‑started the avalanche at 3:30, Enan Vlad (1G), Marshall Lyons (1G, 1A), and Haydn Goetzinger (1G, 1A) piled on in a dizzying four‑minute stretch, and Vladimir King (1G, 1A) capped the run on the power play to make it 5–2 before the period was even halfway done. ISA refused to fold, Ason Apesis and (1G) Ryder Fiddler (2G) answered to keep things interesting. However, North Shore’s best offensive period of the season held up thanks to Brayden Unruh’s (33/36) 33‑save performance and a third period where the Warriors finally managed to lock things down. For a team that’s been stuck in the mud for weeks, this was a rare night where everything clicked. ISA on their own six‑game skid, showed flashes but couldn’t match the Warriors’ second‑period punch, and North Shore walked away with a much‑needed win.
Notre Dame Hounds (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (15) U15
RINK Winnipeg rolled to a 15–0 win over Notre Dame in a game that felt less like a matchup and more like the continuation of a season‑long pattern. RINK Winnipeg keep overwhelming opponents with depth, pace, and a scoring engine that simply doesn’t slow down. The Hounds, who have struggled all year and came in off a 14–5 loss to CDA, actually held on for most of the first period before Ryan Koenig (2G, 1A) broke things open shorthanded at 14:56. What followed was a second‑period avalanche that has become RHAW’s trademark: Caleb Church (1G), Jax Fellner (1G, 3A), Yuto Agapito (2G, 1A), Jake Gagro (1G, 1A), Nash Smook (2G, 2A), Jackson Lussier (1G, 1A), and Brock Labelle (2G, 3A) all scored as RHA Winnipeg put up eight goals in under seventeen minutes, stretching the lead to 9–0 by the second intermission. The third period didn’t offer Notre Dame any relief, Brantley Church, Koenig again, Max Manaigre (1G, 1A), Labelle, Liam Hailstone (1G, 3A), and Smook piled on as they hit the 15‑goal mark. Madyx Cyr (14/14) earned the shutout behind a night where RHAW fired 74 shots, controlled every inch of ice, and showcased the same relentless, layered attack that has powered their 31–2 record and eleven‑game winning streak.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (3) vs OHA Edmonton (2) Female U18 Prep
Delta Green held on for a hard‑earned 3–2 win over OHA Edmonton in a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the division, a game that tightened as it went but ultimately swung on Delta’s late‑second‑period surge. Riding a six‑game winning streak and undefeated at home this season, Delta struck first when Madison Batch (1G, 1A) buried one just 2:14 in, only for OHA, winners of nine of their last ten, to answer through Kyla Pappas (1G, 1A) midway through the frame. The second period saw both teams trade momentum until OHA briefly grabbed the lead on Izzy Gollop’s (1G, 1A) finish at 4:13, but Delta responded with a late‑period punch: Adie Schneider (1G) tied it at 19:21, and just fourteen seconds later Payton Finnie (1G) snapped home the go‑ahead goal to send Delta into the third up 3–2. From there it became a defensive grind, with Mya Young (27/29) shutting the door as OHA pushed for an equalizer but couldn’t break through.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) Female U18 Prep
Okanagan flipped the script on a season that’s been defined by long nights and lopsided scorelines, grinding out a composed, confident 4–1 win over Northern Alberta Xtreme, a result that felt even bigger than the score given where both teams entered. OHA had been hammered in back‑to‑back games by RHA Kelowna, while NAX came in riding a 13‑game winless slide of their own, and for 40 minutes it looked like another tense, low‑event battle. NAX struck first, Braileigh Robertson (1G) beating the buzzer at 19:59 of the opening frame, but that was the last time they’d solve Teagan Janzen (14/15), who delivered one of her calmest performances of the season behind a group that finally dictated pace instead of chasing it. The breakthrough came midway through the second when Audrina Freeman (2G) tied the game, and once the third period opened, OHA took full control: Becca Macfarlane (1G) buried the go‑ahead goal at 5:12, Freeman added her second just 74 seconds later, and Shea Warnick (1G, 2A) iced it with a late insurance marker. OHA outshot NAX 48–15 and looked far closer to the team that beat Shawnigan earlier this month than the one that struggled through a brutal stretch against SAHA and RHAK.
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (6) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (3) East U17 Prep
Okanagan Hockey Ontario put together one of their sharpest road efforts of the season, striking six times on just 28 shots while leaning on a massive performance from William Coursol (55/58) to secure a 6‑3 win over Ontario Hockey Academy. Edouard Mauger (1G) opened the scoring late in the first before OHO exploded for four goals in the second, highlighted by a pair from Carmello Duncan‑Sampedro (2G) and a power‑play marker from Joshua Moncrieff (1G). Jack Carter (1G) also chipped in early in the frame as OHO built a 5‑0 cushion before OHA finally answered through Yehor Pyshalko (2G), who added another early in the third to spark a brief push. Artem Kovalenko (1G) made it a two‑goal game midway through the period, but OHO held firm defensively and sealed the result with an empty‑netter from Maxim Marquis‑Bouchard (1G, 1A) in the final minutes. Despite being outshot 58‑28, OHO controlled the scoreboard from start to finish, powered by Coursol’s standout night in goal
BWC Academy (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
BWC Academy snapped out of their brief stumble with a 4–2 win over SAHA who beat them on Superbowl Sunday to capture the inaugural East West Challenge. Coming off an 8–5 loss to OHA and a stretch of uneven results, BWC needed a stabilizing start, and they got exactly that: Oleksii Zhekov (1G) buried his first of the season at 12:17, and just 39 seconds later Justin Moon (1G) doubled the lead as BWC punished SAHA’s defensive lapse with back‑to‑back strikes. SAHA, winners of two straight and one of the league’s most opportunistic teams, clawed back shorthanded early in the second through Kutcher Aquila (1G, 1A), but BWC answered with a dagger of their own by Elias Papadatos (1G, 2A) restoring the two‑goal cushion in the final minute of the period. The third brought the expected push from SAHA, and Damen Vanderberg (1G, 1A) made it 3–2 on the power play, but BWC’s response was immediate and emphatic: Dominic Seminoff (1G, 1A) ripped home a power‑play marker just 58 seconds later to put the game out of reach. Josh Wu (30/32) was steady throughout, especially during a first period where SAHA outshot BWC 17–8.
Yale Hockey Academy (5) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Yale and CIHA came in riding strong recent form, but it was Yale who controlled the key moments in a 5‑3 win Friday night. CIHA struck first just 53 seconds in as Winston Chicilo (2G) continued his hot stretch, but Yale answered late in the frame with goals 90 seconds apart from Matthew Zaitchikov (2G) and Eddie Kemp (1G). The teams traded punches in the second, with Matteo Zenone (1G, 1A) restoring the Yale lead before Chace Smith (1G) made it 4‑2, only for Sutton Hodgetts (1G, 1A) to pull CIHA back within one. Zaitchikov’s 15th of the season midway through the third gave Yale breathing room, and Coby Kidwell (28/31) shut the door the rest of the way. Nicholas Voinea (3A) and Tryson Edwards (2A) drove the offense for a Yale team that has now won four straight, while Chicilo’s multi‑goal effort wasn’t enough to extend CIHA’s own streak.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg vs Prairie Hockey Academy U17
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg U17 walked into Barkman Arena desperate to halt an eight‑game slide, but Prairie Hockey Academy, already 3‑0 against them this season and rolling through a 9‑1 stretch, turned the night into another runaway, overpowering RHA Winnipeg 12–3 in a game that snowballed early and never slowed. Prairie’s depth and pace were relentless, firing 60 shots and stacking goals in waves, with Kase Gellner’s (3G) hat trick and Soren Hayden’s (3G, 1A) four‑point third period blowing the doors open as the matchup tilted from competitive to lopsided. Winnipeg had brief sparks, Grayson Speirs (1G) and Kellan Hermiston (1G) clawing the score to 3–2 in the second, but the third period became a flood of transition strikes and second‑chance finishes that buried any hope of a comeback. By the time Kolton Norris (1G) added a late power‑play marker, the outcome was long decided, Prairie cementing their season sweep and extending Winnipeg’s skid in emphatic fashion.
Delta Hockey Academy (6/SO) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U18 Prep
Delta and NAX, two of the hottest teams in U18 Prep, delivered a wild, back‑and‑forth classic that needed a shootout to separate them, with Delta ultimately taking a 6‑5 win to extend their streak to six straight. Delta jumped out early on goals from Sullivan Fogolin (1G) and Treyce Pavlic (1G), but NAX punched right back as Levi Ellingsen (2G) and Ahmad Fayad (1G, 2A) scored 1:25 apart, including a shorthanded marker, to send the game to the intermission tied 2‑2. The second period mirrored the first: Delta struck twice in the opening eight minutes through Conor Nicolson (1G) and Maxum Pyatt (1G), only for NAX to counter with a power‑play goal from Brady Ondrus (1G, 2A) and another late-period equalizer from Ellingsen. Kalen Miles (1G) gave NAX their first lead 6:51 into the third, but Delta forced overtime when Kishan Saggu (1G, 2A) buried the tying goal with 34 seconds left. After a scoreless OT, Saggu delivered the lone scorer in the shootout while Matthew Wong (40/45) shut the door on all three NAX attempts to secure a dramatic road win for Delta.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) U15 Prep
Pilot Mound, desperate to snap an eight‑game skid, put together one of their most complete efforts of the season in a 4‑3 win over Okanagan Hockey Academy, answering every push in a tight, momentum‑swinging matchup. Wyatt Wentworth (1G) opened the scoring less than two minutes in before OHA responded through Sequoia Antoine (1G, 1A), but Max Faulkner (1G) restored the Pilot Mound lead late in the first. OHA briefly grabbed control in the second with goals from Hunter Orrbrooke (1G) and Mason Liebel (1G), only for Edin Korajac (1G) to tie the game 25 seconds later, sending the teams to the third deadlocked at 3‑3. Pilot Mound found the winner midway through the final frame as Jett Ball (1G) buried his third of the season off a setup from Wyatt Rossnagel (1A) and Oliver Helsen (1A), and from there Gage Romanchuk (27/30) shut the door to secure the victory. After weeks of frustration, Pilot Mound finally found the timely scoring and late‑game composure they’d been missing, while OHA saw their three‑game win streak halted despite a strong push in the third.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) vs BWC Academy (1) U15 Prep
Northern Alberta Xtreme continued their surge in U15 Prep play with a commanding 6‑1 win over BWC Academy, overpowering them in all three phases and riding a dominant special‑teams performance to their third straight victory. BWC struck first on a power‑play marker from Ethan Kartadinata (1G) at 6:59, but NAX flipped the game on its head with two goals in a 1:24 span from Danel Ramazanov (1G) who ties it before Rylan Edwards (2G) buried a power‑play strike to give NAX a lead they would never relinquish. The second period saw NAX extend their advantage as Malakai Andrews (1G) converted another man‑advantage, and the third became a full takeover: Edwards added his second of the night, Landon Reschny (1G) cashed in on yet another power play, and Sebastian Morgan (1G) capped the scoring late. Liam Bordt (3A) and Jett Evans (2A) drove the offense, while Kash Anderson (42/43) was outstanding in net, turning aside 42 shots to secure the win. BWC unraveled under a parade of penalties while NAX’s power play (3/8) and relentless shot pressure proved far too much to handle.
BWC Academy (7) vs Edge School (2) U17 Prep
The home side opened the scoring 2:22 in as Nolen Miller scored his ninth goal of the season. Nathan Da Silva countered five minutes later with his sixth as the two teams were even 7:01 in. Evan Lynch restored the Edge lead midway through the first but Connor Liu (3G) tied the game 29 seconds later before giving BWC Academy the eventual game winner 1:20 after that. BWC Academy continued to pile it on in the second as Brayden McCrorie (1G, 1A), Kooper Kozmeniuk and Tanner Swirla (1G, 1A) all found the back of the net on Delano Pockar (27/34) Liu scored the lone third period goal to complete the hat-trick and round out the scoring as BWC Academy grabbed a 7-2 win in Edmonton, AB to kickstart their showcase weekend. Liam Kellett (34/36) made 34 saves for the win.
St. George’s School (1) vs OHA Edmonton (2/OT) U18 Prep
Neither team could find the back of the net in the first as Cam Hoose (41/42) and Carter Adams (32/34) kept clean sheets through the opening 35 minutes of play. Jason Gao would finally break the deadlock with 4:45 left in the second as he scored his 11th goal of the season. Adams and St. George’s would hold strong until OHA Edmonton pulled the goalie and Miles Hartmann (2G) evened the score with 50 seconds left to play. Hartmann would play the role of hero once again in overtime as he scored the game winning goal for OHA Edmonton 1:15 into the extra frame.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Gage Mark scored the lone first period goal as OHA took a 1-0 lead into the intermission. SAHA tied the game 58 seconds into the second as defenseman Reed Howell scored his second goal of the season. Carter Gilchrist (1G, 1A) gave SAHA their first lead of the game 9:10 into the third but it was short lived as Lucan Kostiuk tied the game just 46 seconds later. It wouldn’t take long for SAHA to get the lead back as Oakland Black scored a power play marker less than two minutes later. OHA would make a push for an equalizer, firing 16 shots on goal in the third, but Chase Nielson (34/36) held strong to backstop SAHA to the win.
