The Swift Current Broncos have signed former Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) student-athlete Gavin Harrison to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Cold Lake, AB forward has been been having an exceptional 16-year-old season in the AJHL for the Bonnyville Pontiacs, leading all rookies with 17 assists and 26 points.
Harrison joined NAX for the 2022/23 U15 season, tallying 25 points in 24 games before recording 2 assists in 5 playoff games as NAX were crowned 2023 CSSHL U15 Western Champions.
The following U15 Prep season he recorded 30 points in 25 games, adding 4 points in 5 playoff games as NAX won the 2024 CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship. At the conclusion of the season the Broncos would draft Harrison in the seventh round, 150th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.
Harrison spent the 2024/25 season with the NAX U18 Prep team, finishing with 29 points in 36 games.
