Wheat Kings Land Two

The Brandon Wheat Kings have signed a pair of CSSHL student-athletes in Joffrey Chan and Ahmad Fayad to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements.

The Wheat Kings selected both players at the 2025 WHL Draft, taking Fayad in the second round, 38th overall, and Chan in the fourth round, 83rd overall.

A netminder from Calgary, AB, Chan joined St. George’s School for the 2023/24 U15 season going 3-6-0 with 1 shutout, a 4.94 GAA and .877 SV%. This past U15 Prep season he went 13-4-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .918 SV%.

Fayad joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) in 2023/24, earning CSSHL U15 Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after leading the division with 76 points in 28 games. He would add 14 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 CSSHL U15 Western Championship.

This past season Fayad would again earn CSSHL U15 Prep Prairie Division First Team All-Star honours after posting a division best 54 assists, and coming second in league scoring with 81 points in 36 games.
